Ted, since you pretty much admitted that being "black" or "white" is a state of mind, that would indicate to me that skin color means a lot less these days than it used to. After all, Colin and Condi are both "white," while Clinton and Kerry are both "black."

By the way, I've seen many instances where Asians are called "white" as well. (Some have tried to act "black," but that's never going to happen. <G>) Maybe the real issue here is more culture and less genetics. Which goes to show you that circumstances are much more in your control than you think.
