IB is in Canada -- as am I. But I've been using them to trade options on US stocks. So far I'm impressed -- it's efficient and the commissions are low. I've no idea how they are for trading Canadian stocks. Others may wish to comment in this respect.

i use them for all my us and canadian trading
cheap and fast

but no hand holding but i dont think you need a broker to tell you which stocks to buy :-)
