I agree then. There is clearly a fair amount of speculation driving the current prices. But I do think we are in for sustained prices that are in the $50 range or more for a long time to come. The adventures in the ME inadvertently got us there quicker than otherwise, but it was coming anyway. All in all I'm pleased with that result. It is best to start the transition which is fraught with technical issues well in advance of truly desperate times. IMO, Bush & the neocons deserve a medal for accomplishing this, though I doubt they see it that way! :)
