Saddam was AGAINST Islamic extremists. He killed many-many of them. He would never-ever allow Al Qaida to infiltrate his country. The first thing Al Qaida would want to do would be to topple Saddam.

Duh.

The problem with most Bushies is they just don't understand the world around them. Smae as the cretins who got us into Vietnam. Just no clue about reality and believing their own domestic propaganda. Let me spell it out.

Al Qaida is the Islamic equivalent of far rightwing religious Christians in this country. They are irrational because they are religious zealots. AL Qaida hates secular Arab leaders.

Saddam was totally un-religions and secular. Not a religious bone in Saddam's body. He was a rightwing fascist type dictator, not a populist Islamic. He fought a huge war against islamic fanatics. So he feared Al Qaida as much as he feared the USA. ye he made PR moves toward the palestinian cause but that's it. No way he had Al Qaida in his country.
So nothing to do with 9-11 and Bush's whole argument for invasion collapses.
