If the article is right the trade balance between US and EU will only grow further to the benefit of the EU which will support the EURO - counter to the common wisdom that only GDP growth and interest rate differentials matter.

IMHO plays on interest differential is "fools gold" as in most cases it is disconnected from the reality of the real flow of funds - trade.

So called carry trades are "hot" money and if Germany / EU corporate restructuring will continue their stock market will attract more funds than "monkey's money"
