However, it isn't just the low-skilled worker that is justifiably worried. My point was that awareness of the competition from the East as well as general world awareness is much higher in Europe than it is in the States. Awareness as opposed to denial and ignorance is the first and necessary step to embrace change. Hopefully it leads to the mental adjustment of the new reality.
