The current construction costs would be approx. 340-420 k$ for the full size home pending what kind of quality you would require from white goods et al. I paid 210k$ for the 15 acres. Plans are on the way, construction team ready and with 2 years to go I may face the dream of my life coming true early 2008. The price of the house is in line with what I am getting for quotes in the states...the land is cheap if part of it lake front? I am getting prices in the 300K to 500K + for an acre in NC. Kind of steep. Anyway, your place sounds wonderful. I wish you the best. My problem with you guys (or vice versa) only being that I am far from being a socialist - or liberal. I find your basic thinking quite strange. Those a labels...you can apply labels, but quickly stifle the discussion, unless you explain and support your points with evidence and rationale. Liberal? What does it mean these days? Is bush a fiscal liberal or conservative? Socialist? What does that mean? Is bush's medicare program a socialist notion? What about his reaction to the NO disaster? Did he just discover that there is abject poverty in his country and that race and racial roots are most commonly the theme? I'd support and vote for anyone who speaks and manages to common sense, projects intelligent pragmatism, tries to represent every citizen, respects other nations and makes America a respected nation among the others of the world.
