"Supporters call it the "Stand Your Ground" law, while opponents call it the "Shoot First" law."

Although I do support people's right to own guns, I am not real supportive of a law like this. Even police officers, who have training, don't have this right. At least they don't in jurisdictions I am familiar with.

The campaign coincides with a state law that enters into effect authorizing gun owners to shoot anyone in a public area who they believe threaten their safety.

If you can believe it, my cousin supports this law.
