I think that is the real reason rather than any genetic superiority. My counter-example will be the national spelling bee competition in USA. While it has wide participation among kids throughout US, three out of the top four participants in the last spelling bee were of Indian origin. And not from any particular community from India. And I suspect that the gene pool in India is fairly diverse. Similarly,in International Scrabble competition, Thai participants seem to appear at the top too often. -Arun
