Good Lord! What trials that child has had to endure.

Thanks for telling her story. It makes ones little aches, pains and day-to-day BS look like a cake walk, so very trivial compared to what she faces each minute of the day.

Please tell her that we will keep her in our prayers. Rudi has gotten the hang of lighting candles, though they are birthday candles, it's ok, her heart has the control. I'll light up a big white one for her tonight.

I hate cancer! There has got to be a cure. No one should have to suffer as do cancer patients, and the poor young woman enduring it for so long, with the hope that each day she wakes might be the day the cure in announced.

The mother and daughter must be very strong to put up with the terrible pain and suffering than accompanies cancer. My heart goes out to them, and to you for staying such a close friend when you're needed the most.

As Pati said, I'll light birthday candles for them...and pray she makes it to her next birthday. No one should have to suffer that way.

Norma, that is such a sad story, and yet, a story that gives one hope as well. She must be an incredibly brave and positive person! And indeed, I'm sure she has everyone's prayers ... and so does her family!

Cancer is indeed a really terrible disease.
