Mary, I don't think you are hearing me. You seem to be saying that having a high IQ makes someone a better human being because he is less likely to be killed in his home or he is more likely to engage in sustainable business practices.

I am saying that just because a person can find a legal solution to satisfy his needs or lives in an environment that is less conducive to violent crime it does not mean that person is a better human being.

If somehow you could swap babies born to a rich high IQ parent with one born to an IQ-90 of a poor drug gang members. And then the smart babies would change the poor neighborhood for the better instead of becoming better criminals and the dumb babies would have turned to a life of crime despite their better upbringing, then you'd have proven your point.

To make it short, just because I can find more convenient legal ways to get what I want (either due to my genes or due to my environment) it does not mean I am a more decent person. The real comparison is what I would have done had I been in the exact circumstances of whoever it is you are comparing to.

PS you still have not answered this:

If I have figured out how to pick your pocket by helping you with your bags instead of holding a gun to your head and demanding your wallet (and save myself a lot of headache), am I a more decent and loving person?
