Bushies pull another fake terrorist alert as soon as Bush's brain is told he's going to get indicted.

The nerve of these people. They also put out phony terrorist alerts the day Kerry picked Edwards and the day after the Democratic convention. Shame on them using our national security as a political dirty trick. Shame. shame, shame on Bush and this traitorous liar Rove.

The chimp will own Carter's numbers, and his won't rise over time, as an ex-President. I lived through Carter, and until the chimp. I thought he was the worst president of my lifetime.

Why do you insist on forgetting that Carter had a 34% approval rating when he left Washington? He was terribly unpopular at the end of his term. I think that he actually bottomed out in the 22-30% range.

It indicates a good policy for a President may be to just stay out of the Middle East altogether. Stop all US support for Israel and Egypt, remove all US embassies from countries that haven't yet defined their borders (Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria) or haven't got democratically elected governments (all of them), and leave them alone to squabble amongst themselves. Might result in a popular president, and may even be a good foreign policy for such a messed up region, if only we didn't need their oil......
