Ted, you correct on both issues. I saw a poll done a couple of weeks ago in EU and it was amazing how low the popular support for a full Turkey membership came out. Unfortunately I don't have a link and BTW, I believe the article was in German anyway. As long as Austria does the dirty work for them, the Blairs, Chiracs and Schroeders can easily stand up tall for Turkey here but if reelection is of importance to them, they will find ways out of that position in due time.
