Elroy.There is a compangy-cytogenix- CYGX-that claim to be able to make pure DNA at a fraction of current cost biz.yahoo.com and their prototype plant will be ready this year.They are working on a DNA based vaccine for HIV but I was wondering about a bird flu vaccine?

EJ, This is a very helpful summary. A few questions: 1) you say, Personally, I prefer the German drug Memantine, which is the metabolized form of Amantadine. I think they now sell it in the U.S. as a drug for Alzheimer's, under the name of Namenda for $60 for 60 tablets. So your preferred therapy would be Relenza + Namenda, or Relenza + Tamiflu? You're correct about the US branded name of memantine, BTW. 2) You seem quite knowledgeable about these issues. Do you suggest a particular set of texts if I wanted to educate myself similarly?

the side effects of tamiflu are not to be dismissmed imo: two colleagues took it last year and foreswore it. I have used amantidine in the past many times and aside fromm some depression and nightmares, not had a problem personally or with patients: doesnt mean it can not happen.
