Iraq is so dangerous media can't report from it. The words CIVIL WAR now come up regularly. Nearly 2000 US military KIA and who knows how many greviously wounded.

The Bush administration has been using Vietnam tactics: bodycounts, special advisors, domino theory, spectre of communism (LOL) to try and shore up support. The majority of Americans think Iraq was a bad idea and only about 20% think we'll definitely win.

A war that was supposedly going to cost $1.7B is now up around $300B although that's a question mark because the Pentagon admits it doesn't know where the money went to.

The number of independent batallions just went from 3 down to 1.

The Shiites tried to do an end run against the Sunnis by making the Constitution impossible to defeat which publicized how divided the country is. Even the Iraqis think their own government is incredibly corrupt. Of course it is, there's $8.8 BILLION missing from under the CPA and an additional $1BILLION missing from the Defense Ministry.

Electricity, garbage collection, potable water, jobs, schools, security are all out to lunch. There's even fighting with the Brits in Basra and 1,000 people were just let out of Abu Ghraib for what?

Even if there was perfect peace tomorrow morning, the US Taxpayer has been footing the bill for: 1. partition, 2. Islamic theocracy, 3. Iran. 4. Terrorist training and recruitment.

What part of this is a success?

It is amazing that so many in our country are rooting for an American defeat.
