"It is amazing that so many in our country are rooting for an American defeat."

We aren't. We're rooting for the neocon defeat, and the defeat of the Bush foreign policy. We don't see those as at all "American". There are more of us every day, probably more of us than you war supporters now. We're just waiting for the pols to catch up, exactly as it was in the Vietnam era.

When we leave Iraq, it will be a victory for the real America, just as leaving Vietnam was. The world prays that that America can rise up and prevail again. And we are. And we will.

It is amazing that so many in our country are rooting for an American defeat.

I hate to break the news to you, but this isn't a football game. But since you seem to look at it in that kind of rah-rah light, I'll give you a football analogy.

It's the US team vs. the Terrorist team.

The US team has the best equipment in the league. The best padding; the best uniforms; the best training staff; the best medical staff. We have a quarterback with THE best arm in the league. He can hit a dime at 40 yards.

The Terrorist team is a squalid group. They bring their own tee shirts for "uniforms"; there's no training staff, it's all OJT. When it comes to injuries, they just toss off the injured player, let him bleed on the sidelines and put in a new player. They don't even have a large enough roster to put a full team on the field at any given moment.

Having the best arm in the league, we opt for a passing game. A no brainer. But much to our surprise, the quarterback keeps getting sacked. Play after play, he gets sacked. But we're so confident in the quarterback that even on 4th and 30, we pass. Again he gets sacked. Over and over the quarterback gets sacked. Losing yardage on every play, the Terrorist team often picks up the ball in a favorable position. But every play the terrorist team makes is not a play we would make. They run a little guy up the middle; they throw a Hail Mary pass on 1st and 10 in the first quarter. We can't figure these guys out. Everything they do is stupid. It's not a surprise that the squalid terrorist team scores from time to time.

But we continue the passing game. Having a pro-American newscaster, i.e, Fox news...the news caster goes over the stats of previous games and how well the quarterback has done in the past. He further goes on to say, if the terrorist team followed our play book, we would kick their butts. Ignoring that the American team is losing, he notes how clean the American teams uniforms are and how nifty looking they are. He also notes that from time to time, our front line, levels a terrorist player that gets carted off to the morgue. He also makes a comment on how ugly the terrorist team's coach is. They even cheat, i.e, break the rules, but as the refs are blind, they get away cheating.

In the stands, there are two groups of fans for the American team. One group, keeps on yelling "RAH-RAH GO AMERICA". The other group yells "STOP PASSING YOU FRICKING MORONS." The rah-rah fans hearing the "stop passing" fans look at each other and say, It is amazing that so many in our country are rooting for an American defeat.
