croco-

people need to feel that they
have a purpose,

yes. that and they need to know
that they are relevant.

speaking of which, your white garden
info is most relevant. thanks muchly.

i'll do some research to see which of
those can survive gale force winds for
most of the year and which we are
experiencing today.

just got back from a walk on the wild
side - on the beach. WOW! - very
exhilarating. almost as good as ....

Goat's Beard -- not sure of what that is,

Aruncus dioicus?

Nice plant, I like it. It gets a huge stock on it...great background plant for a perrenial border.

Nice selections for your white garden.

If you want to add a grassy texture to the mix, there are some very nice variegated carex out there, they are evergreen, also....and very hardy. This variegated willow (salix) is great too:

On Sturday I went out to Vashon Island to visit a client and place a couple of large plants into a garden we fished building in June......the growth since then was just spectacular, I was blown away. I took a few pics, I'll post them later in the week.
