1. Of course it was a terrorist attack. It came in envelopes. Whether home grown or foreign we don't know and apparently neither does the Bush administration. What just happened in NYC? Was that a ruse, a mistake or what? 2. You do realize that Saddam had nothing to do with 911 right? Even Bush admits that. 3. The situation in Afghanistan: heading towards civil war, came from the BRITISH MILITARY. A few months back, they wanted to move their troops from Iraq (more peaceful then than now) to Afghanistan because they feared it was heading towards civil war. Argue with the British Military if you like, it was their idea. 4. SA and Pakistan both have a strange relationship with AQ. Musharref has come out publicly and stated that he does not want OBL captured in Pakistan. The Saudis have backed the extremists for years. 5. Iraq isn't about US resolve, it's about Bush insanity. Did Libya look at Bush and say: he's nuts? Perhaps but that isn't exactly a good reason. Libya has oil, Libya needed western oil companies to come in and pay for that oil. They've been negotiating for A DECADE. Bush takes credit where he can and leaves blame for everyone else. 6. Yes, China, the new empire, is doing a great deal with NK. It's in their interest to see the region not go to war within itself. This says more about China, slated to be the world's largest economy in a couple of decades, than it does about us. NK is a rightwing repressive dictatorship. You betcha. Communist China is headed towards being the world's largest capitalist country. You need to rewrite your dictionary. 7. Who knows what AQ Khan is up to. Who knows what anyone is up to these days? The nuclear genie is out of the bottle and there is no guarantee of containment any longer. It's enough for the time being to keep the US from launching nukes into space or selling tactical nukes to all comers. 8. Rumsfeld said that we knew where Saddam had megatons of WMDs...between Tikrit and Baghdad NSE and W somewhat...where are they? The country (us) who has satellites capable of reading documents from space can't keep track of massive megatons of nuke movements from locations we had already identified to somewhere in Syria? If that's the case then we're wasting trillions on defense. If I think you're right about something then I have no problem saying it. That's the difference between progressives and rightwingers, we look for the truth. :)
