I have been involved with government projects where those involved did very well at getting good value for the government. Unfortunately construction is a very small part of government expense.

When our system of government was enacted we had RULES to make sure that voters VOTED RESPONSIBLY. You had to be a PROPERTY OWNER to vote. The theory was, a man (women didnt have the vote then) who was a landed person would elect responsible citizens to oversee our government and the assets of the realm. Today, we have NO RULES of any value, hell they want to put in on line voting with little or no PROOF you are even a citizen. We have a large class of people who pay no taxes at all, are only in it for WHAT THEY CAN GET. One party, you know who, specifically addresses that party and promises them the moon for their votes. This has caused the other party to have to lean in that direction too in order to get elected. The situation is rapidly spiraling out of control and wouldnt surprise me if in the next 25 years total chaos develops. China may be the next super power, we may be the next Bananna Republic. jdn
