My TOL booth has been collecting a lot lately. I am sure yours has as well.

This bird flu has me very concerned. Anyone who isn't at least a little concerned probably doesn't understand what is going on. It could blow up into a worldwide crisis very easily, and very quickly. Not just any crisis either. We are talking a crisis where people you know, and possibly you, are going to die. No one will be spared the real fear of death if it learns to mutate. We are wiping out millions of birds worldwide and it is still spreading. Can we do that with humans? These flus don't just attack the sick and elderly either. In the 1900's there was one that was mostly fatal to healthy people.

Hopefully they are able to contain it and create a vaccine with adequate supplies BEFORE it mutates into human hosts and starts spreading. The clock is ticking.

Most probable economic outcome? Travel industry dies, world trade shrivels up, and the worldwide stock markets crash. Biotech and pharma will be the place to be, especially the companies that can do research and make vaccine.
