I would be amazed if 10 people reading your post or this one realize just how prophetic that statement is

I suppose I could find 10 people here on SI that would realize it, but we are not the ordinary, we are the more informed group. Sadly, even here, with all the information available to us there are some of us that cant even understand the concept of RESPONSIBLE CITIZENRY and how EVERYTHING stems from WE THE PEOPLE.
The average person, when the end comes, will say the GOVERNMENT did it, not understanding, we ARE THE GOVERNMENT. We the people elect our own to govern not some alien from outer space. Many people, even some here, seem to think that money, like manna, comes from heaven not from our very own pockets. Every tax, of every kind, that we pay takes away from goods and services we would otherwise buy that provides jobs and security FOR US ALL. Then to try and load the majority of that tax on the SO-CALLED Privileged few only results in lowering the group and ultimately lowering the revenue. That is why, I personally prefer a consumption tax over an income tax. At least when one is consuming one is helping another citizen and EACH citizen pays SOMETHING to the extent of his consumption. jdn
