Army National Guard and Army reserve recruiting for FY 2005 fell 17,200 short.

That is the equivalent of about four of the mobile and ready combat brigades Rumsfeld wants.

If you couple that with the active Army announced recruiting shortage of 7,000 and the 30,000 additional soldiers they were authorized and told to recruit but couldn't, the total Army recruit shortage was 54,000.

That is three Infantry Divisions. And that is more Infantry than we have deployed in Iraq today.

reminded me of COKEY ROBERTS when she was reporting from one of the capital buildings when in fact it was a print back drop. She ended up confessing she was in the studio vs reporting from capital building. g
