You and I both got 4.1%. The average worker is getting 2.4%. We are being overpaid.

The civil service retiree COLA has been less than the active employee COLA ever since I retired. For years and years retirees got more, before that less. It goes in waves and this is just another wave that will break in the other direction at some point.

This makes my 24th annual pay raise in a row since I retired from the Army.

Are you saying I didn't earn them?

If you are...you are right.

:o)

But with 11 years overseas duty, I am not about to back up to the pay line.

Tell you a true but funny. Two+ months ago I tried to apply for SS. I always heard you should apply six months ahead. I was told that has changed to 4 months ahead and to come back.
Last week I tried to apply again well within the 4 months. This time I was told I had to wait till 3 months before eligibility.

The SS bar is moving...every which way.
LOL
