Well, I don't know anyone who doesn't believe in evolution. Most can distinguish between macro and micro evolution, and know something about the state of the discussion. Mostly what is objected to is the leap that since we postulate the formation and development of life using evolutionary theory, there is no need for God, and only stupid and anti-modern people believe in God now. It's quite a stretch to say that evolutionary theory already has answered all the questions, even those raised by ID biologists' work, whether Russian or otherwise. Evolution is a brilliant idea that accounts for a lot of data. All of it?? Well, that is a modern faith statement. Sorry if you find Karen Hughes offensive. Schadenfreude is beneath a person of your quality. Don't waste your time on such pettiness, especially over something like the origin of the universe and life. Save that for when really bad people get sick, not people like this.

It already has. If Karen Hughes in the course of her official duties addresses the question of the bird flu bug morphing into something that is transmittable from human to human, she accepts evolution

Creationists admit evolution within species now. But they dispute evolutionary speciation. They keep moving the goal posts as it becomes indefensible to deny the science. The goal posts are pretty much at the last stop on the route, I would think.
