The petulant belief that everyone else is easily fooled except oneself is a dangerous road to dictatorship. I have yet to see you articulate a practical alternative other than the ballot. And on that score it appears you acknowledge its legitimacy when it suits your purpose, but when it doesn't the ones you disagree with are "easily manipulated sniveling cowards, easily duped". On the other hand, I support the ballot box. Polls can be manipulated in a hundred different ways depending on how the questions are asked. Any intelligent person knows that, therefore, the true measurement of support (or lack thereof) is the ballot box. On that score, the ones who did not support taking out the Hussein regime failed to make their case. It's really as straightforward as that.
