Could you tell me if your post is in any way part of the common landscape, and that I have missed this thought all these years, or is your post part of what you really believe?

It doesn't matter if they are clergy or what their religious beliefs are. There are lots of Christian clergy and Christian believers and very few of them are "professional Christians." There are lots of blacks and very few of them are "professional blacks." A "professional black" is someone who identifies first and foremost as a black and whose life's work is about making an issue out of being black. A "professional white" would be a neo Nazi organizer. The notion of a professional anything is about identity politics.
