That you wouldn't consider the path Bush has taken only shows your failure to realize the need for pre-emptive self-defense following 911. Your notion that almost any other plan would be an improvement leaves open the zillion ways in which Iraq could still be in Saddams hands at this date, and little else but pie in the sky (nothing specific from you still). Saddam still being in power would not be an improvement, no matter how even you slice it (I should hope), IMHO. Dan B.
