Cheney lied many times about Saddam's WMD's, especially about his claims that he had "proof" (never did) that Saddam had re-constituted his nuclear program and was hosting AL Qaida training camps. None of it was true. Even giving Cheney a little leeway on spin, he was being dishonest and he knew it. Or if he didn't know it, then that's even scarier.

Cheney also lied recently saying the insurgency in Iraq was in its last throes.

Cheney lied many times during his campaign speeches, pandering to the far right hawks by portraying John Kerry was some kind of traitor and pansy. On the contrary, Kerry is a war hero and foreign policy and intelligence expert. Cheney was a draft-dodger.

Cheney's other big costly lies are in the areas of energy, poillution, etc. That's where he's perhaps done the US the most harm.
