Shorting things seems to be in vogue now. Indices, energy (not necessarily in that order), tomorrow gold.

Part of the reason money becomes scarce is that the gov't in Canada decided to get their grubby hands involved. Which reminds me of a Canadian saying.

If it is winter and you see a politician in Canada, walking outside, and they have their hands in their coat pockets, why is that a good thing?

-because their hands aren't in your pockets!
