I think it can be structured to keep the retirement age where it is AND provide incentives for working. You get SS AND you can work while earning X amount. Above X you get your SS reduced as part of means testing but you can still make more money by working so the incentive is still there.

I think that everyone should have longer chunks of vacation, 4 day work weeks with 10 or 12 hour days AND work well into their 80s and 90s.

I think the 2 week vacation thingy is baloney and I think retirement at 55 or 65 is also baloney. Frankly it may be a good idea to have a senior college experience at 55 or 60 and start a new career.
