Students who were number one in their high school graduating class tend to have more opportunities to attend the best colleges and receive scholarship money than other students. Similarly, those students who finish first in their college graduating classes and ace the LSATs tend to be able to get into the best Law Schools. It just happens that the best Law schools in America are Stanford, Yale, Harvard, Columbia and Northwestern. Excelling at these schools usually results in Law Review and various citations of academic distinction.

The Supreme Court in my opinion should be reserved for the nation's top legal scholars. Bush is making a mockery of the institution by appointing a political hack to the court.
