VXN is now lower than VIX. I thought that would never happen. So tech is now the stable, slow moving sector. Unbelievable!

What does it mean?
My guess. While the Dow and SnP have lots of sectors that move in opposite directions, there is not really much in tech that can have a similar effect. My conclusion is that short selling on the Nasdaq must be very large, options and stocks. The options data does not get picked up in the monthly short interest numbers. There might be much more short selling that most of us believe.. That is the only thing that explains VXN being lower than VIX.

Maybe it is the mid 1990s all over again. We keep moving up while picking up more and more skeptics. Nasdaq 3500 in a couple of years?
