SOT.

""As to the future I know that you believe that the Chinese Communist party will never change, and I consider that an intellectually respectable viewpoint and you may turn out to be 100% right.""

Incorrect assumption. I, in fact, agree with Jay's view point about the gradual change of CCP controlled China. CCP has no choice but change accordingly. I think that is what Elm's view point - "gets people rich first then comes political freedom".

The part I disagree with him the most is his intention to be a by-stander Chinese instead of a Chinese pushing CCP to improve in a faster pace. He not only did not ask CCP to improve but also brush aside or even support CCP's dirty tricks as normal way of Chinese daily life.

He may give a lot of charitable contribution to society later. But his view about China future is full of contradictions in his supposed very intelligent way.

Best,

BH
