I will admit that if the US were to legalize marijuana, at least a couple of countries would legalize its growth. It should strengthen their central governments and provide them with a source of revenue. That would greatly reduce the amount of direct subsidies required, and possible weaken our state department (which I view as a good thing).

I forgot the biggest problem with legalizing pot. increased health risk. The increased risk of Emphysema has been documented for decades.
