What's your sense of the practicality of driving on a 200 ft. high bridge in the snow and cold? I'm nervous driving across high bridges in the best conditions. I've never been in Alaska in the winter so I'd appreciate your experience.

Agree with you here, Snow. The system is broken, and I think the only way to fix it is to require a much higher percentage of state/local matching money for federal money. That would force state and local governments to be much more careful about their spending priorities

BUT, we have to be able to elect people who are smart enough to know what a budget is, and a State honest enough not to always to play to the numbers of people who aren't smart enough to figure out that is really costing them money every time anyone in the government at any level, wants a new project done.

Look what happened in WA State...first a very contested election. The Dem goes in...with what I personally believe was a very flawed election (am trying to be nice here, and not say fraudulent)... Within 4 months, she has raised taxes, and raised costs, plus put in a 9 1/2 cent ADDITIONAL gas tax, so that we are now the highest in the Nation on gas tax.

We are trying to overturn her decision to raise the 9 1/2 cent per gallon tax....(Initiative 912) and there are serious obstacles that have so far been overcome, but NOW, major Business of the Left, (Microsoft, Paul Allen, Boeing, etc) are funding the anti 912 initiative....by MANY multiples....)

And when all is said and done, it will keep more workers being paid by the additional taxes, but it won't decrease the congestion -- not by a single car! Even the anti-912 say there will be NO help with congestion....
