RtS, I don't know for sure about anything, unfortunately, but it is a "state of the art" machine, and Toshiba does make many, many different laptops. And different model machines are "phased out" on a steady basis no doubt.

I think it is just part of a general pattern. INTC is well documented as unable to deliver certain "chipsets" for some of their customers. Other shortages have also been documented. Many of these companies are running at over 90 percent capacity.

When capacity is stretched that tight, shortages are bound to occur. As a "rule of thumb", capacity utilization should be no greater than 80 to 85 percent in order to satisfy customer delivery requirements on a consistent basis.

The industry as a whole is "running tight".
