Lumber is trading where it did ten years ago and considerably below where it did in the early nineties. Lumber, like most commodities have not even kept up with inflation. You point it all the time with food prices from your grocery store days. Same thing here.

The subsidized stumpage in Canada is another issue the writer was ignorant of.

What you're suggesting is that the Canadian government confiscate the property rights of Oil and Gas companies and investors in order to aid lumber companies and investors. A completely bone headed leftist idea.

Great blog on softwood lumber issue.
What puzzles me as a Canuck is with all the easy to get along with citizens of U.S.A. I have met in cottage country
not one likes Bush or his policies.
