The Iranians had the Euros properly dhimmied. Then Ahmadinejad had to open his big mouth. Even the BBC can't spike this one.

One can argue that Ahmadinejad just did Israel a favor, by making his wishes so obvious that even the BBC and the NYT can't spike it, as they almost always do to Muslim/Arab displays of anti-Semitism.

Now, my question is this: Did Ahmadinejad speak out of turn, or were the Mullahs so cocky that they okayed the speech, confident that the supine Western press would not dare to make a fuss?
