You can never have a Democracy when one small group at the top can veto the decisions made by the Democratic arm. But I agree with you that they have the Democratic infrastructure in place. The question in my mind is whether or not the typical Iranian agrees with their President's advice to wipe Israel off the map. It seems that most M.E. Muslims feel this way. As long as most, of them feel this way, then they are no better than Nazis in my mind. How would they feel if the West said that we should just wipe out all Muslim countries in the M.E., so that the world can have a little peace for a change. Hell, we're ALL tired of the relentless terrorism that they have managed to productionalize in their part of the world.
