With Wilma we had some trees down and were without power for two days, but as I mentioned on another post,I think we were lucky.<g>

We were on a post-hurricane cruise for a few days.

Things are gradually coming back to normal, although there are still a few street traffic lights down and many down trees waiting to be picked up,(in some streets the stacked logs and branches are taller than the roof of cars, which reminds me somewhat of the condition in Chicago after a snow blizzard in the late 60s.<g>)

School classes are due to resume in Broward County on Monday and in Dade County already started today. The gasoline supply is also getting back to normal since most of the service stations have their power back.(Some people had to wait 3 or 4 hours last week in order to get gas.)

At any rate, I would take a hurricane any time rather than an earthquake or mud slide.<g>
