Why stop at criminal laws? I'm talking about the exporting of our way of life to our detriment based upon assumptions about workers that simply aren't true.

If we believe in certain standards of conduct like the paying of decent wages or the upholding of decent working conditions, why shouldn't we demand that all the products sold in the US of A meet those conditions?

My money is my property but I can't go out and buy drugs with it or hire someone to kill someone else. There are many limitations on the use of our property.

Exactly what happens when we tax imported foreign goods made under conditions that we object to? I think it's very odd that Boeing decries Airbus because its subsidies and supports give it an edge on engineering and design. Whazza? Government subsidies and supports are supposed to be the death of good products.

What I'm saying is that we need to rethink our assumptions about what makes for good business and a good standard of living for ourselves. We have, for much too long a time, bought into the assumption that 'free' market capitalism is the holy grail and that anything else is unworkable.
