But all of the Arab world has focused that last 60 years on their hatred of Jews, instead of making a better world for themselves. So what are the chances of them changing?

I think you'll seldom read or hear of Arabs complaining about Jews. It's the Zionists that drive the Arabs batty.

MM, do you see the Israelis as nothing more than poor, innocent victims these last 60 years? Do you agree that they had a "land grant from God" that entitled them to seize the Palestinian lands? Are the Palestinians just God's asswipe?

The situation now is that they are there, and the Arabs should accept them. Some are. But surely you can see a basis for hostility?

You'd think so. But all of the Arab world has focused that last 60 years on their hatred of Jews, instead of making a better world for themselves. So what are the chances of them changing?

Actually, before the Zionists and Israel, the Arab world lived in relative harmony with a mixture of religions. After all, the ME is the location for the founding of three of the world's major religions. It wasn't a perfect harmony but it worked for hundreds of years. The balance was upset with the introduction of Israel 60 years ago.

You see Israel was the first attempt by the US to nation build. Unfortunately, it didn't work then and it won't work now. You can't shove something down people's throats and expect it to work.
