Yes, I see that Alito passes your Ivy League test. He appears to be an excellent nominee despite that.

Yes Alito is an excellent second choice after Miers. Considering the atmosphere Alito is now nominated in. I can even think, God directed PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH to chose Miers first. Or did the genius of leadership and Ms Miers figure it all out beforehand.
