It makes me more than uncomfortable to blame Shiite Muslims for supporting Sunni Muslims whose main habit is killing Shiite Muslims. Iran support for Salafi Jihadis in Palestine or any other area can only lead me to conclude that they are so intent on hating Zionists that they are willing to fight for Muslims that would rather see the Shiites dead too.

In the past, we have maintained the policy that these groups should be left alone until they get sick of the killing. However, we are dealing with a culture that openly supports the rape of an innocent woman by a half dozen young men because her brother banged the wrong lady. We are dealing with an entire religion of bigotry and racism so profound we can only try to contain them to their own part of the world.

In the future, we are going to have to keep an eye on these people. With troops in Saudi Arabia, there is no doubt in my mind that our troops will also be a permanent fixture in Iraq. We are not going to leave Iraq alone to defend itself against the Salafis, the Iranians, and the Baathist Syrians. I sure hope that we get to build the first oil refineries in Iraq as payment for our military support for the stability of the ME.

In order for war to be end, the odds of loss have to become so great that the threat of loss is no longer viable. IMO, the struggle for stability in Iraq is so great due to threats from Iran and Syria, there is no logical reason that we will ever leave that area. The ridiculous comments from Iran almost sealed the deal for the future of the US military in that region. We can never leave. Same for the friggin arrogance of the Syrian government for killing the leader of Lebanon.

On a day when the Dems tried to bust Rep balls behind the closed doors of the Senate, I cannot help but to see all of the arrogance and greed of the ME governments that have so conveniently lost the attention of the press. They are completely unwilling to look at the possibility that the terrorists are the enemy and that Bush fought a justified war. The conservatives have been starved from the truth for so long, they have even lost focus on our military support for a new government in Iraq.

You have done a better job than anyone on this thread to help me maintain my conviction that the war against these terrorists is 100% necessary. Thanks for all of your intel.
