I have some favorite TV programs one of which is Boston Legal. Last night's program was. one of the better programs that I have ever seen with arguments for both parties and partisan politics weaved into a humorous story. Did you happen to see it. I liked it when William Shatner who took the position of a Republican described what it meant to be a Republican.. I came from a long family of them and am the lone dissenter.. and not too popular with the rest of my family I might add.

However lines that he spoke I could hear my own Father saying.

Have a good day,

but was rather shocked to learn tonight that the reason that there haven't been any hearings on the intelligence failures in Iraq is because the Republicans refuse to allow them

This surprises me, too. I was just about to respond elsewhere at my anger and frustration at the "you can't handle the truth" attitude of this administration. We are manipulated and spoonfed information and in the case of the CIA black sites, we are flat out lied to. Honesty, integrity, transparency....these were things promised the Bush voters. The intentional sandbagging that becomes more and more to light is likely to cause a real problem in the next elections. How else can it play out except in a partisan way, though?
