More Iraqis, stronger Iraqis, more experienced Iraqis day by day; this is the true report here. The fact remains...that after two and a half years...only one Iraqi Unit is capable of independent operation. And the fact remains that we will not be able to withdraw our troops...my main concern here...until the Iraqis are ready to do this for themselves. This was my point. Then you went off on your "rubber tape measure" excuse. And it isn't so. The General said in the press conference and the hearing that the readiness was a function of manning, training, leadership and equipment. Squirm all you want...but yes...Checkmate! Orca
