The world isn't out to get QCOM....

If you own key patents and you are selectively forcing people to buy your products through your royalty structure you may be engaging in anticompetitive practises....
Imagine you own the patent on Chocolate and you structure your royalties so that anyone making edibles out of your IP has to do it at a higher price than you can sell the product for including the IP then you might be guilty of anti-competitive policies including monopolistoc tendences...

Of course all this is theoretical and QCOM doesn't or never would engage in such practices........
