Yes, they are. One is a choice requiring a medical procedure to effect and the other is the body acting on its own.

My point was that the majority of states permitted some elective abortions. Perhaps instead of "elective" you meant "on demand" or "medically unnecessary" or some such when you spoke to what Roe was "about" rather than "elective."
