Ken Lay stayed at Clinton White House 11 times
It doesn't get any cozier than that...

In 1992, Enron was one of the most popular contributors to Bill Clinton and the DNC. Enron was right next to Bill Clinton from his first days in the White House. In 1992, Enron donated $100,000 to Clinton's inauguration, and Enron's top exec, Ken Lay, stayed at the White House 11 times.

Enron had almost nothing to do with the Clintons. Enron gave money to all kinds of politicians but was Bush-Cheney's #1 benefactor giving them $1,500,000 and letting them run campaign operations out of Enron HQ and giving them free use of Enron jets. When Enron was busy gouging the west coast for 30-40 billion bucks, Bush-Cheney refused to stop it and blamed it instead on democrats, lying that it was "market-driven". Bush-Cheney and Lay are all in the same criminal boat, which is why the rightwing is desperate to point out minor donations Lay made to democrats and try to spin Lay into something he wasn't. Lay was a major Bushie Republican. not only a Pioneer, but THE Pioneer.
