If women think of themselves as liberated in this society it IS in comparison to what existed previously or in my life time however, until we see more women in government, taking leading roles in policy making that determine their fate... such as the abortion issue which is surely going to come up in the Supreme Court for review... we are still second class citizens. Of course this is only my opinion and from my experience I should think we are almost there....

Of course things are lot better today than they were even 50 years ago, but the number of women on the SC is an accurate reflection of where things stand. We are not even half way there yet.

Women represent a little more than 11% on the SC. To get to the half way point, there is another 33 to 44% to go. We are not half way there yet.
